@Sarah you should message the app creators. This has happened to us multiple times and if you email they will restore your streak. We think it might happen if you go back and do old puzzles from before the streak…. Luckily the NYTimes people are very nice and will give you back your streak. Worth a try!
What the heck!!! Why did I just have all caps when my friends using a phone had the parentheses. Probably added 20 minutes to our time because the clues didn’t really make sense how they led to these phrases with just all caps. ESPECIALLY Rack and Ruin, which seems fairly obscure. Big fail for what could have been a decent puzzle.
@Arctic Parrot exactly wrong! The down phrases are just random and unconnected to anything. Makes this Thursday gimmick one of the lamer ones I have seen. Your opinion is wrong and bad!
@Skeptical1 no this puzzle was a boring slog and the answers weren’t “creative” they were just obscure and stupid. One of the worst puzzles in a long long time. Absolutely joyless, and you should not have liked it.
