Really fun and creative. I solve the puzzle in the app every week and I confess I typically just dive in on the clues and don’t often just step back and look at the whole thing - something that feels more part of a paper-puzzle experience for me. This puzzle reminded me that I can take that initial moment, even in the app, to just step back and admire. Bravo to the constructor, this was a really elegant adventure.
I really enjoyed this puzzle. As the parent of a teen, I can imagine how meaningful it was for the authors to do it together! But I also learned something about myself as a puzzler: for tricky puzzles like this, I actually love it when the trick is more concealed. The moment when the puzzle “breaks” - you put in a perfectly rational answer and it just… doesn’t work… and then the realization that the “not working” is the point - THAT’s what I love. In this case it was clear from the start how the puzzle was constructed, so while it was super fun to work out it just didn’t have that sizzle for me. I appreciate the authors for helping me learn this!
I loved this puzzle! Can someone share a tip for filling in the app version? I filled in the rebuses for the central letters (e.g. “O/E”) but it’s still showing as wrong… unless I am missing somewhere else!
@Rahul Agree!! Absolute highlight seeing Marta get her due.
