I love puzzles like these. On my first run through, I know hardly any words and consider going to the dictionary. Then, I stick with it and get a few clues close to each other, and the game is on! Great puzzle, Adrian!

"Take as a pointer" is a fabulous clue for DOGNAP! I love the kind of clue that is a total mystery until you solve it, and then you say to yourself, "Of Course!"

This was a great puzzle, worthy of a Friday. I love it when the first couple of words you think of when you read a clue don't fit, so you have to work around that word and maybe snag a couple of letters on intersecting clues, and then the answer reveals itself and it makes total sense.

I loved it, especially after I found out what the trick was. I looked back at the earlier puzzle cited and found that one to be very clever as well.

One of those crosswords where I managed to solve it and still didn't have a clue (get it?) about the italicized clues.

I really likes this puzzle! Challenging but solvable, with a clever theme and interesting takes on some of the clues. Nice work!!

I misunderstood "Raising Capital" when I got the Thanks A Million clue. I thought all of the special clues would be about money. This one took me a long time, but it was challenging and fun.

Great puzzle. Rarely does it happen that I solve a puzzle, but I'm surprised I got it right and never even got the "trick" until I read the backstory. Very enjoyable solve!

I liked this puzzle. At first, I thought I might have to look up a word or two, but I got 'em all. I like clues such as "Cause of amusement to a vet, maybe" and "Breakfast dish that might go over well?" that get me started in one direction, but I later figure out once I have enough crossing words. Bravo!

One of those where I never figured it out until after I solved the puzzle. Then, I said, "Duh! Gimme a break!"
