Didn’t really hurt the ability to solve, but doesn’t naming the puzzle suggest there’s a theme? Or are unthemed puzzles usually named?

I’ll never understand why there’s clues like 17A. Be mine is more of a phrase than a sentiment. It’s just sort of purposefully vague and misleading because it’s Thursday.

@KK I’m with you. Okay with the names but crossing them with French words was annoying
I like rebuses in general. And I get the theme. But having squares count across but not down just feels like it violates the rules of a crossword puzzle.
