@Theresa yep, as an Oregonian, I'm with you on the word, "samlet" In all my years of ocean and river salmon fishing I've never heard the word either.
@Jonathan "fin" for a $5 bill isn't totally unheard of. I agree it's not the most modern usage. I remember my dad saying fin and sawbuck ($10) but this was in the 1950s! as for Abe, I think that's just one of those things one needs to remember. It pops up in crosswords now and again.
@Jim I agree with you, wish they'd go back to the old stats format.
Great, fun Tuesday puzzle. Not sure I would agree that 27 across contains phonetically "two cans" the letters are there in the spelling, just not in the pronunciation, or am I missing something?
@Janine thanks, that makes sense
@Jacqui J of course, that makes sense. Thanks.
@Jeff thanks, came here to make the same observation. Error and err are two different words. I'm just not ready to accept that to "error" as human, I want the verb "err" in there. Oh well, as you said, so have it.
yes, I see the error in the above comment. Proof, I guess, that to err is human 🙄
