Alas, this one was not for me. I can’t recall the last time I failed to finish a puzzle, but now it’s today. Too frustrating.

Unlike many other New Orleanians, I’m not a stickler for food traditions, but 33 across stumped me for a while because I have never seen anyone put Creole (or any) mustard on one of these “food specialty” items. Crystal hot sauce, yes, for sure. I may try it, though!

I actually loved it: creative and different and perfect for a Sunday. I enjoyed the cross-over movie names, and the trivia was fun and, where obscure, could be sussed out via the crosses. I quibbled with “namable,” but when I looked it up and learned that it’s an acceptable form, I moved on. Learning is good for that.
