@B It DOES pay to be old, but perhaps not so old that when seeing "Keaton" your mind automatically goes to "Buster" and not "Diane." Whoops. It didn't fit anyway . .
@Jane Wheelaghan Jane, the "tennis" clue is a kind of desperation move constructors sometimes make. The "duo" in TENNIS is the Ns -- there are two of them.
@Julia: Agree. The Cinderella "clue" is just inexcusable. I don't have a total by pieces, but it's over fifty years solo and a few before that helping/filling in for my father. (I got dogies, IRS, and half of the the oreo one before Revealing Cinderella, and that's when I DNF, in case anyone's keeping records. Also, still crushed about the acrostic, as long as I'm unburdening myself.)
Began and ended Caturday with cat breeds (or fur patterns)!
@Andrzej Wow, and here I was worried about how incomprehensible this would be for you in particular! Good to hear this.
@Steve L That's so funny--I thought of Andrzej when I filled in that clue too! (As well as the breakfast cereal one. Okay, and the high-calorie state fair one. American culture, alas.)
@Mean Old Lady Vernacular English
@Kris T "In Cold Blood" took place in Kansas. (I also tried to make "My Antonia" fit for the longest time.)
@John It was definitely half of my Saturday morning time today!
@Moira And no Pokemon.
@Foster TLR is dearly missed in St. Louis.
