@Aaron “didn’t make sense” and “I didn’t understand them” aren’t the same thing. In this case it was the latter.

@Sean McGowan I definitely can appreciate that reasoning. And—it just didn’t feel consistent with past similar construction, where there have been clues and answers that made sense one direction, but not on the cross (at least visually). It was an easy enough fix, but I spent time going over the rest of the clues to make sure I didn’t have a different error before turning all the HOLES to O’s. It seems like a simple hole animation at the end would have preserved the integrity of the puzzle visually, while avoiding the confusion of an entry that seemed reasonably acceptable. And to be clear, this isn’t really a complaint. The puzzle was lovely.
