I am finding this difficult for a Monday puzzle. It's nice to have one puzzle you can just bang out. Not this one.

My first rebus puzzle, and I'm not sure which square gets the extra letters. Hubby is watching football, and I get this extra twist to work out. Kinda fun! Happy New Year!

I thought it was just me, that maybe I wasn't so sharp today. Then I saw I'm not the only one finding this difficult for a Monday. Win some, lose some.

Todays' puzzle is much easier than Monday's. Maybe they got switched?

Much easier than Monday's puzzle, and because of that, more fun. Yesterday's was a slog.

Fun and easy puzzle for a Monday, just as it should be. But, no, kale is not ever in a Caesar salad. Never. No more than you would put Brussels sprouts in a Caesar salad. You get a pass, Glenn, as this is your first NYT crossword. P.S. Caesar Cardini invented the Caesar salad in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1924. He didn't use kale.

@Margot If you watched Shogun, you would know that word. :) And for some of us, this was easy, with its cute coffee shop terms.
