This puzzle was magnificent! Sometimes with a tricky concept like this, it seems like all the energy goes into the theme answers, and the rest of the puzzle is shoe-horned in around those. Not so today! The cluing was so lively and helpful that, even having to go back and rework all the starred entries, solving was a breeze.
