Seeing IAMBS and FEET in this puzzle almost made my French Literature degree pay off!
As a GenX-er, I object. The internet is our youth. (or the Millennials, but not GenZ.
I feel like The Hunger Games was supposed to be the gimme in the NE, but not knowing it, it's hard to guess fantasy name spellings, so it was the last corner for me.
Ooof, it just took forever to click. I understood that the theme was going to have something to do with "abs", but I couldn't see how adding or removing "abs" from "exponents" fixed anything....
I thought the rule was, "If the clue is [conspicuously] in another language; the answer will be in the same language." What gives, NYT?
@Grant Jazz Hands are the wrist wiggle with your hands out, Spirit fingers are holding your hands still and wiggling your fingers so they "glitter". They're not the same gesture, but often go together.
I spent a long time with buzzALDRIN, and knowing that Seattle had the SOUNDERS, wondering what other soccer team they had that had a Z in it.
