I had the same sorry start as described in the article, but once I figured out the hook it moved nicely. It’s unusual to know exactly where the rebusses (rebi?) are. However, upon finishing, and getting the usual successful pop up telling me I got it right, I saw no surprise that made me hungry for more. I didn’t think I was missing anything, but decided to read this column after finishing and now I feel my pizza is missing some toppings. Kudos to the constructors.

I don’t dislike the puzzle, but the least bad is the constructor notes. Well done — or poorly undone?
