"CRATER" and "SOLD" are not only answers in this puzzle but likely words repeated several times on Wall St. this week. This was a great puzzle to give me a break from the onslaught of terrible news, thanks to the constructor. DOGEAR was a favorite.
I usually just read the comments (sometimes far more entertaining than the puzzle!). Perhaps the measure of an exceptional puzzle is the wide range of comments from rhapsodic to contemptuous. I had fun. Thanks to the book by Pollan, How to Change Your Mind, psilocybin was there at hand. Also, thanks to Dostoevsky, Tolstoy etc. samovar was a sure shot. There was stuff of course I didn't know which makes it challenging. The wordplay was nice, Way-out Fun might be my favorite! Definitely the best puzzle of the week. Kudos to the constructor:)
I usually do not comment but a special treat for music lovers today...I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the clue! Geri Allen RIP!!
any puzzle that gets "Kibosh" into the mix is a winner haha!
Priority one Insure return of Organism for analysis. All other considerations secondary. Crew Expendable. The most chilling scene of the Alien Franchise! Great puzzle:) Any puzzle with "Xenomorph" as a clue or answer is tops in my book.
Companionship like Spaceship, ship in space, ship on which you have your companion....fiendishly clever! Flat sign had me going for a while too. Not generally a fan of the Thursday shenanigans but this one was fun. Hats off. Friday eve, have a nice day.
Wes Montgomery AND Ella Baker in the same puzzle, I must be in heaven. Two LEGENDS!! One for Jazz, one for Democracy and Black Liberation. Hooray for the constructor!
Any puzzle with a Trane clue is pure perfection!! Mansa Musa is a delicious bonus:)
@The X-Phile indeed, a good "gateway drug" to Rilke would be Letters to a Young Poet.
@Moira i agree! glad to know I am not alone haha
