What a difference a week makes. Compared to last Wednesday, today was gentle, man!
@EC Maybe clue it as Adhesive for Apple products
This was likely my longest solve time for a Saturday puzzle. Whew! Glad it's over.
@Michael B. I thought "What? What??". And that's why I'm here reading your comment. Whew!
As a retired engineer, I was happily surprised to see BOXPLOT. It took me back to the days of combing through data, looking for good and bad experimental outcomes. Probably done by A.L. now.
The Wednesday and Friday puzzles should have been exchanged, imo. My solve time was 10 minutes shorter for the Friday puzzle.
This one tied my personal best for a Friday. If only I had used both hands to type in the answers rather than use one to hold a cup of coffee.
I was terrified when I saw the grid, but then the down answers starting coming, and it all came together. Fun.
@Barry Ancona I'm an electrical engineer and I'm familiar with Tesla and Gauss as units, but I never heard of Gamma. I see it's used in the geosciences. It's a very small unit, which kind of makes sense because the Earth's magnetic field is so tiny. I'd rather see GAMMA clued differently; something like "The first letter in Greek"
@Steve L My nerdy science mind saw 3563 days and thought "Ah, that's 10 years", because I know there are 365.24 days in one year. Anyway, congratulations on your streak. That can never happen to me because I always venture into the wilderness for a couple of weeks every year - no internet!
@Andrzej I'm trying to wrap my head around "I've never seen Seinfeld"
@Jeff B MD I put a P there and thought "It can't be". It wasn't.
