Loved the theme, but my favorite part was the crossings of BEET/YEETS and HEY YA/BEEB/OOH BABY. That is some silly perfection.
Vcr instead of VHS and BERg instead of BERT really took me for a ride. That was the GIrg of it. Had to look up Chloe Zhao because I couldn't make anything happen in the NW. And my memory for shopping places of yore only extended to my teen days and I couldn't figure out how to make "malls" fit into six letters. I love Saturdays
That T. Rex clue is brilliant and like so many in the comments I wish I had gotten to solve it. I tried for way too long to make Stone Roses work as the famous British rock group. Didn't think they were that famous....
Anyone enjoy BOTH last Sunday's Art Heist AND today's themeless Go with the Flow? 🙋 I loved the shape of today's puzzle. So many fun entries without brain-melting Saturday cluing. I had "bird" for Turducken components for the longest time and boy did that take some unraveling to finally get to done.....
Took me embarrassingly long to see the dreidel in the middle of the puzzle. What fun! Next year do one with the circled letters saying "nes/gadol/haya/sham" (a big miracle happened there)!
Is a WOK really a stir fry "accessory" when it's.... The pan you use to make the stir fry?
Confused "wrinkle remover" with "stain remover". Took forever to work around BOraX in the SE corner 😅
@bayonetta I assumed it referred to the shape of the grid - got a nice wave pattern in the middle.
"what on earth is a DOTOAT?" Only figured that one out after the crossword told me I finished with no errors 🙄
I loved this puzzle so much. First Saturday in a while I solved without lookups. It was such a delight when ICHIRO came to mind - I know nothing about baseball, but when we were in Japan last year, whenever we told people we were from "Shi-a-to-ru" they would excitedly say back to us, "ICHIRO!"
