Did anyone else find this easy for a Saturday? I finished it in 10 minutes and 54 seconds on two glasses of wine, demolishing my Saturday record by well over a minute. (My average hovers around 30 minutes for Sat.) Maybe I just got lucky with the clues this time?

@Susan Those two clues activated my English Lit nerd rage. Grendel is very large and very hairy and lives at the bottom of a marsh/fen. It would be fair to call him an ogre, but he’s neither an elf nor an orc, Mr. Shortz!

I just want to register my petty outrage at being forced to write in Southern dialect (“CUSS WORDS”? How dare you) in order to complete this puzzle.
