My only regret is that this joy of a puzzle did not drop in two more weeks, when my two grown former hockey players will be with us for the holidays. We always put up the puzzle on a smart TV and solve it as a (mildly) competitive family. The reveal would have been the best holiday gift ever. Nonetheless, thanks for a very sweet Sunday morning, if minus my right wing and center!

@Angela Actually, it's the TARTINI in S2E4 (a worthwhile rewatch on Christmas Day), and the FLIRTINI appears in S3E18 ("Cock A Doodle Do"). Perhaps a themed holiday watch for HBO Max subscribers with time on their hands after a fairly quick Thursday solve!

@AySz88 My read was that they "swung" as a pair of state abbreviations in rebus from horizontal to vertical; and in my read "Western Union" clued me into the fact that we were uniting two western states in each rebus square. I'm surprised so many people are so fussy about this one! I thought it was fun and accessible. But I'm solving on a Mac in Chrome, where it's very easy to work rebus squares.

@Matt Shohei Ohtani! Which would make an excellent triple-stack 12 option for Sam next time...

@Brad @frank @matt I thought the same! But evidently Blanc voiced WIle E Coyote in Bugs Bunny cartoons, at least. In character and even pronouncing, as in this clip, his own name! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PufFA8kDWFk
