I have to say, that was by far the hardest puzzle on NYT I have ever actually completed without help. It was a real challenge, thanks.

Hard, yes, but didn't enjoy the thesaurus clues.

@Esmerelda Agree Doubt is a great film. Loved this puzzle until the last letter fill, skeds seems forced.

@Timesnlatte Agree, much too easy, I finished in just under 2 minutes. I had to spend the rest of my morning working out some simple quantum mechanics problems before having a cup of coffee.

Good puzzle, but dink shots are not a thing, they are drop shots. The obscure internet reference won't help.

Good puzzle until snarfing. Pretty weak.

Really enjoyed this puzzle, great job. AFTS was not bad at all, I've seen much more egregious fill-ins. Did not know about the French 75, good to know!

@LarryF Yes of course moil is a word, but to Nancy's point, toil is a much more likely entry. Along with that, amazeballs is just inane and horrible let's never use this one again. Finally, I begrudgingly accept LOTR entries, but can we please use them a little more sparingly!

Was it a good puzzle today? I'm not sure, I was distracted the entire time by that monstrous border surrounding the active square. Is the letter above it an E or an F? I can't tell, the border is so ridiculously thick it obscures it.

@Bruce Agree, it was crass wording for a clue on Valentine's Day.
