The Other Side Of The World
While I hated that part of my ‘MEDAY’ came to an end sooner than usual, I did enjoy the breezy flow of this solve. I do wish that the critics try their own hand at creating a publishable, Sunday-worthy puzzle based on their own criteria… maybe they could find a way of incorporating “humble pie” into their clues…
Feeling a bit exasperated watching the clock tick away when POP is not primary, but POL is….
@Sylvie I’m with you… know what you’re doing before your clueing! “Post Malone and Jelly Roll’s artistic expression”, or “Mark of a felon” or “Brow blading?” All say face tat to me. “Sacred visual Māori ancestry, identity” ? Maybe, but using the Maori word moko would’ve been so much better (respectful and a learning op!)
Sounds like a few, but definitely my PB for a Sunday… could’ve shaved a few more if I was more wry than dry…
Wow… TIL pap, not to mention pap boats, pap warmers, and pap spoons that one could blow into the mouths of babes (presumably)! Who knew there was so much pap that is no longer part of our lives…
Didn’t even notice the design until the graphic and chimes came up - cute touch!
Sounds like there were a few personal bests on this one. Just a weird tidbit, but in New Zealand, the “o” is dropped and the possum is a pest. Beautiful, warm fur, but decimates the landscape. In Oz, the possum is a protected species, go figure? So if you see a possum in Hyde Park (Au) and it gets a bit vicious (which they can), lay on your back with your feet in the air - they will always go to the highest point. I wonder if that can somehow get clued for the next time…
Am I the only one who thought it was MEAT? I mean it works in every comic strip that has two Dobermans….
