@Lewis That's not the same solution in the Wordle I completed an hour ago. Oh! You got me!
Respectfully disagree. One of the best things about crossword puzzles is learning new words.
Adding my Kudos to all the rest here. Brilliant, amazing! Thank you Miranda Kany!
@SP Those very easy clues helped me so much when I was a beginning solver.
@Mean Old Lady The Minnesota State Fair has an exhibit with typesetters and the equipment showcasing the landmark 1931 "Near v Minnesota" freedom of the press case. It's fun to see the reactions, esp the realization of how much work it took for people to publish their opinions (not just a quick tweet)!
@Katie And HENS with EGG. I quite enjoyed this puzzle too.
@Francis I've heard this said many times. Maybe a midwest or southern thing.
@HeathieJ The Darlings was a way to showcase the musical talent of real-life bluegrass band The Dillards, as well as Andy Griffith himself, who often joined in. There was also an episode or two which featured a local man who turned out to have an opera voice. And of course the wonderful voice of Jim Nabors as Gomer Pyle. It seemed like underestimating people's talents & abilities was the theme of many episodes.

@sotto voce Thanks for the Mama Cass "Dream a Little Dream of Me" link. Her sultry, soothing voice made my afternoon!
@Bob T. Thanks for the link! An inspiration to learn this, along with a few of the incredible Scripps Spelling Bee words from last week!
@David Reiffel That's super impressive - Congrats!
@Seward Parker Thank you for this information!
@Seward Parker And if only this were true of Wordle as well!
@Jane Wheelaghan Y is a vowel In this puzzle in 66A and 60D (ENVY, STY).
@Vaer Thanks for linking this! The comments note that Bobby Dix died in Jan 2025 at age 101. What a voice & presence he had! Lucille Ball looks beautiful and genuinely choked up as Bobby sings this rousing patriotic tune during WWII.
