Such fun! Tricky, but not frustrating. Best Sunday puzzle in ages!

Clever, but not fun. A long slog not getting the full schtick 'til reading the explanation, but still muddling along with the fill (no look-ups). Meh.

Meh. A quick solve, but not fun. As someone who can't construct crosswords, I respect and admire the skill of putting them together. But the last time a Sunday puzzle was fun was the August 3 "Star Trek"-themed one; and I commented then how long it had been since I'd enjoyed a Sunday puzzle. Have I done so many that I've become jaded??? Add a few letters to a phrase, switch a few letters in a phrase ... the themes are becoming repetitive and boring.

This was fun! Definite improvement over last week's themeless. Not sure why people aren't getting the theme ...? It was cute!

This was the most entertaining puzzle in months! (Enough months that I'd started wonder why I was still bothering.) So many, of late, have been dreary and too full of themselves. My family members are Trekkers, so I've learned a lot despite not being one myself. It was great fun to work this out!

I don't ski, so didn't get the signs 'til coming to the comments! But the puzzle was still fun, and a very nice diversion ... :)

It took a bit to figure out the schtick, but once I did it was great fun! I'd been bored for ages with the same ol' similar themes; then we got the Ides of March and now this one in quick succession. Hoping the creative and challenging trend continues ... 😊

Took a bit to figure out the trick, but no "Aha!" moment or sense of satisfaction upon doing so - just "Meh." No fun in this puzzle whatsoever. Feels like it's been awhile since I really enjoyed a clever or amusing Sunday installment ....

This was so much fun!!! My son played Mario when he was little; and I took my grandson to see "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" this spring. I'm not an expert in the game, but there should be enough cultural awareness after so many decades for people to be able to puzzle it out even if they've never played it. Someone else noted that we've had a "Star Trek" theme (loved that one!) and other tributes to entities with huge fan bases - why not this? Not every puzzle is for every puzzler. But I loved this one ... :)

Too easy (under 30 minutes), but it was so cute and so fun that I don't mind at all ... :)
