I enjoyed the clue, "My Guy!" It gave me fond memories of Mary Well's hit song in 1964, written by Smokey Robinson. My wife would play that song for me. Of course I would play "My Girl" for her. That hit song by the Temptations came out later in 1964, also written by Smokey Robinson, along with Ronald White.

My first answer for 6A Bird's dramatic dive was StOOP. That's the "dramatic dive" of a Peregrine Falcon, but easily corrected with the answer to 7D. Thanks for a fun Monday puzzle.

Really enjoyed this one. Writing down what letters I had solved with the crosses helped to figure out the theme answers. Didn't even try to do all in my head. :)
