In loving memory of my longest streak yet—passed away just moments ago after a prolonged battle for survival. Your pain has now ceased, rest in peace. 🖤
OHhhhh—the first half of the four longest answers are sub-types of the type bread which is a homophone of the second half of the revealer! I don't know why that did not jump out at me immediately!!
Loved the moment that the rebus clicked! This was a fun one!
Took an extra 20 minutes going back through every answer before finding it's not NOT/ESTAT but NOR/ESTAR 🫨
Thankfully understanding the theme wasn't required to solve this one. I was counting the holes in the letters and everything.
With the seeming tie-ins of REHEARSING (a musical) + HEARING, and TOASTER OVEN + TASTE ... made me wonder if there was something to SAM ELLIOT's SMELL? Which led me to this Sam Elliot scented candle: https://www.facebook.com/CrassCandleCo/posts/have-you-ever-wondered-what-sam-elliott-smells-like-no-just-me-okay-well-whateve/119387132973351/ 🤔
A real tricky slow burn. Had to take some breaks & factory-reset my brain overnight before I was able to work all the way through it. Great puzzle!
I was confidently trying to work with ONE EYED NICKS for far too long
I was swapping between DEN OF LIES and BED OF LIES (even NET OF LIES) trying to get the center zone solved—who knew lies hung out in so many places!
O wow! I didn't even notice the whole path of the adjacent O's til the end! A real treat!
"Very clear, as a stream" 😙👌
@Colby Hawkins The thing that is on the stage, that functions as a speaker, that contains the amplifier part and the speaker part and other parts,—is commonly referred to as an "amp". Just like "CPU" can be used to refer to a whole computer.
Anyone else try to make ADOPTION IS HOT work?
@Ernest Loved the puzzle, Ernest! Thank you!
