oof, bottom left with "joissance", "victuals", and "long way to go", I just got stopped in my tracks Also, I call for a moratorium on using modern micro-celebs who have unique names. You can seemingly take any 4-letter combo and find some random person who was in a Broadway show named utqa or whatever. Feels like the puzzle maker is starting with the letter combo and then backing into the name as a crutch.
@Marty not so easy if you don't care at all about Wicked :)
That may have been the hardest Friday puzzle I've seen. But tough in a good way, lots of clever answers. Enjoyed it!
Found this to be the hardest one in a while, but not for good reasons - had a few key really dated proper noun clues (theme to Benny Hill, partner of Hepburn, Demerol). I'm in my mid 40s and still felt too young for this!
@David Ramos I actually really liked that one because it created the assumption of multiple words in the answer, but the answer was a term for multiple words
Definitely the hardest Tuesday puzzle I've seen. But clever!
Liked this one a lot! Great Tuesday puzzle.
That was clever! Irritated at myself for not thinking of the rebus piece. Anyone else only know "NESS" from "A state that's untouchable like Eliot ___"
Did not like this. I still don't get the theme after solving and am coming here to understand what it was about. Crossing "Avast" and "Apso" on a Monday? I've never heard either of these terms in my life.
@Dan Had the same response. Had to fight just giving up halfway through, which hasn't happened for a while.
@Dave Troi got me as well "Dr Zhivago" character crossing a secondary character in Star Trek with an unusual name spelling crossing a character from the Addams Family with an unusual name spelling. My knowledge of 40-year-old media clearly isn't there
