Its been a long time, for a host of reasons--mostly vocational--since I came to wordplay to test out other reaction to this particular puzzle. It is not the most difficult. The hardest solve for me was X since i dont twitter or whatever it is called now. It was the wonderful play on the T-formations with the dual completeness of the "down to a t" solutions. A shame with the classic T formations the only football reference was a pro set quarterback. This is my favorite solve since the outside the box puzzle a few years back
@HeathieJ I read so many of you folks' that solve on computer, and I don't have the patiemce for it. I like to print it out in the newspaper edition, the way I think crosswrds should b e solved, though I now longer have access to NYT even in delayed editions. Solving on paper I have somed of the same struggles that those who have the rebus function. Have to create that in my own mind. But once I saw where it was going when I figured out the answer was Whale Shark. Even though Batman's cowl; was the last thing I got in filling out the full solution.l
@Doireann There are some of who had never heard of Community until reading this. Sometomes I feel culturally deprived though had no problem solving 36 across, seemed to fit the tonality of enrire puzzle.
@SBK in TO or you have to reoul and retemper them whe. some well meaning youtg takes a scouring pad to them when helping with post prandial cleaning. Never let anyone else mess woth my cast iron, an essenrial for cornbread.
@Chris: Any reader of 19th century novels know that laudanum was a common narcotic both as a pain reliever and as an abusive drug. Me knoeing mostly from Sherlock Holmes and a Wilkie Collins opus or two. Dont think it is a natik qualifier
@Vaer Bee Bop A lula (sp?) from when i was in the 4th grade in 1950s was catchy, but never thought of bop as synonymous with earworm.
