I wasn’t moving off of EtTubrUte for “Cry from a cutthroat competitor” easily. I realize it falls apart under any examination, but I wanted it.

Am I the fool? I saw no already-filled-in letters. It was just a Tuesday with a slightly clunky theme. I do have vision problems, however, and have had an issue with circled letters in dark mode. They are black on dark gray (whereas the clue numbers are a contrasting white). Maybe it was the same phenomenon? Anyway, I hit a 500 day streak today. So that’s fun.

Had sLOEGin as the “soothing goo” figuring it was some old-timey nightclub slang.

I am saddened my last comment didn’t make it. I didn’t think it uncivil—it certainly wasn’t intended to be. I truly, honestly, never saw any penciled-in answers while solving. This is likely a quirk of my keratoconus and the dark theme on a phone. I have the same issue with circled letters when they are used. I was just hoping to see if others have the same issue and make a bid for these extra marks to be in a contrasting white when the background is gray.
