@acjones Familiarity with the phrase “a mess of pottage” doesn’t require anyone to believe ANYTHING. One can know things from the cultural entity that is the Bible (or, say, Hamlet) without “believing” any of it. It’s ok to just not know something without being offended.
IVANHOE was delightful. Who knew two colonies were hiding there? I loved this puzzle.
