@Linds You likely know already, but Saturday puzzles are the hardest of the week, this puzzle no exception (for me). For what it's worth, as in middle aged person, I found some of the contemporary clues challenging (so extra!). Have worked up from Mondays, just a couple of years ago, I would not have gotten more than five words on a Saturday puzzle either.
@B 5. What's under there? Under where? Haha you said underwear! It's a very old one, your age is no excuse, maybe you just have better taste though. :^) 6. I just looked up Spanish Main, but that's no help, because it refers to mainland, not a waterway. I'm at a loss too, it was the last answer I filled in.
@Anand Coincidence, they couldn't have planned that ahead, right? Or maybe his health was declining and it was clearly near the end?
@Mean Old Lady Same here, I got CHEX from crosswords and never heard of "Chex Mix" referred to as Puppy Chow. But I like the name!
@Gary K Same, except 30 miles. :^)
For the record, I liked the puzzle and had little trouble in the Android app. No indicator when I filled in what I thought was the last blank square. Went back and entered all the T's and it worked just like a regular puzzle. I do understand it did not work this way for everyone. Also I liked the prefilled T's instead of circles. Yes, it made it a bit (or maybe a lot?) easier, but it was an interesting twist to me, something different to figure out.
@Francisyoy you and me both!
@Amy I had to abandon CHAOS there, two or three times...
@Teresa I'm with you, well said!
@Curro Yes that's exactly what I did.
