david g sutliff

good puzzle, but i do wish you would return to the more intellectual puzzles of yesteryear with fewer names of actors and films, and more challenging words to ferret out.

forgive me for sounding like a nag, but i have been doing the puzzle for nearly 60 years and i cringe at how it has deteriorated. lots of cheapening shortcuts like abreviations, and the frequent use of NAMES like obscure playrights today. reeks of autofill. please return to the more intellectual puzzles of yesteryear featuring erudite clues and mostly WORDS.

nice puzzle to start the week. i still miss calvin and hobbs.

a very good puzzle. clever theme and clues

good one!!

good puzzle. clever clues.

A very nice Monday puzzle. Move David up to Saturday. Leaves no leaves was clever, and it was good to see 'obi' again.

best sunday puzzle in years. ton of fun to solve.

a very good puzzle.

Best Saturday puzzle in years. Even sesquipedalia , which i had to look up. Very clever clues. Reasonably easy but fun to do.

best puzzle in years. great clues.

very clever. sign him up!!

Best puzzle in weeks. That was fun!!

great puzzle. lever clues and super theme.

great puzzle for a rainy sunday morning. and a good movie too.

i do wish you would return to the more intellectual puzzles of yesteryear and not use so many names or rappers and jargon. for example, instead of -------king, it might have been Franklin or face on bill. etc.

great puzzle. i do wish you would return to the intellectually challenging puzzles of yesteryear and use mostly words, and fewer 'slantingly' and 'for short'. etc. when i fill the word in from the cross, i have no ideas if it is right or not, unfamiliar with today's slang. thanks

Dancer's haul and a few others were clever, but theme was a bit too clever to be fun.

XDIN and RPGS??

great puzzle. the DQ clue was the opening and i got the tilt. then the rest. super fun.

Clever but i thought there were too many names and titles. I wish we could stick to words.

so clever it was not much fun. not my cup of tea.

a little too 'slangily' for me.

best sunday puzzle in years. i only had to look up the slang and informallies, really good word choices.

Truly a wonderful puzzle for a rainy sunday. Just hard enough to be challenging and clever clues. And a low usage of 'informally', 'for short', and all the other shortcuts I dislike.

very clever!
