A puzzle within a puzzle? Are you KIDDING me? This is easily of the most unique and fun crosswords I’ve ever done. Incredible theme (obviously) but the cluing was also light enough that it didn’t bog down solving the lock in the center. So so so well done!!
Kate was cooking with gas here. ITSYOURLUCKYDAY? KISSEDBUTT?? TELLMEMORE??? Love seeing a constructor use their CREATIVELICENSE for a banger puzzle like this!!
@Daryl Are we really clutching our pearls over BSMETER and BADASS? Such tame words for such an aggressive response. Also the idea that you’re “forced” to respond is hilarious. It’s a crossword, dude. You know, for fun? Maybe just sit this puzzle out

This theme is excellent!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW made me smile. Great Tuesday, full of creative and enjoyable cluing.
WOW, loved this theme so much, I only wish there were more JAM clues! The rest of the fill was perfectly appropriate for a Thursday and worked very well to support the theme. I liked how the revealer had the rebus word in it, which helps solvers who may be less familiar with rebuses to figure this one out!
Exemplary Thursday IMO. The theme was so clever!The rest of the puzzle was appropriately difficult and of course, very fun. Loved working my way through this one!!
