UGH! Even after reading the hints and resorting to looking at the answer key, I still don't get it. I understand that the constructor was referring to artists, etc., but the rebuses made no sense to me. This may have been my least favorite puzzle ever. Save this nonsense for Thursdays.

Annoying! Had puzzle finished, but still not correct. Read the column and went back and put in the rebuses. Still incorrect. Fixed one letter (typo). Still not correct. Went back. Removed the slashes I had put in for the rebus boxes. Still not correct. Went back again. Gave up my over 100 day streak and let it check for me. Rebus boxes were the issue. Went in, removed everything except the "U" and finally correct. I really hate rebuses and this is why.

Read the instructions twice. Filled in the rebuses as instructed. Still don't get it. I detest crosswords that go for the "cute" or "gotcha" nonsense. I like clever clues that use words, not gimmicks. Save this nonsense for Thursdays, when it's expected.

Red the explanation twice and I still don't get it. I expect these sort of puzzles on Thursdays, but this one just fell flat.

Former AP World History teacher here: thrilled to see "quipu" in the crossword. I knew it immediately, but I suspect that was a tough one for most folks.

Nope, nope. nope. I know Thursdays are always tricky, and I'm used to that. But this - to me - seemed clunky and not much fun even after getting the revealer clue. I've learned to be ready for nonsense on Thursdays, but this one just wasn't fun, IMO.
