I find it interesting that Diana Nyad’s first name anagrams to “naiad”… some may be “Born to Run”, but she was obviously born to swim.

Is anybody else having syncing issues (especially w/ Spelling Bee) between devices (iPad & iPhone) after updating the NYT Games app today? My Spelling Bee reflects “Genius” level on my iPad, but shows the game as unstarted on my iPhone. I’ve tried powering on/off & logging out/in.

Fun puzzle, but I think the cluing for 40 Down is off. “Apt” does not mean “Quick to learn”; “ept” does. “Apt” is suitable, fitting or inclined, while “ept” (a variant of “adept”) means skillful or knowledgeable.

@Lynn Thank you!! I had TEN and was thinking that BON SETS was short for Bonus Sets… it seemed off, but I wasn’t second guessing TEN.
