Sorry, but I must disagree with the crowd up in arms about the app not accepting “HOLE” - it doesn’t work with the across answers! “O” is a visual representation of the word, which is the whole (wO?) point. The editors don’t need anyone to cape for them but I’m surprised by the number of comments to that effect.

Its bark was worse than its bite, but that was a daunting first few minutes! I found “Does as a group?” particularly cute. Really fun puzzle!
