This kind of crossword puzzle is not for me. It's not even slightly enjoyable.

I don't like puzzles with rebuses, rebi or res, or whatever. But I much prefer that to whatever the puzzle creators are trying to do here. Not a fan of this one.

I solved the puzzle without too much difficulty, but I still had to read the commentary to understand the puzzle within the puzzle. Enjoyed this one.

Not a rebus fan. Though this puzzle was undoubtedly clever, I didn't enjoy it.
