This was awful. It wasn't just because it was difficult but there were answers in the nw corner that didn't even make any sense . I'm fine with challenging but I don't think this was well constructed.
I really enjoyed this one. It was quite challenging and a very satisfying solve.
That was a tough one , I was concerned that I might not finish but plugged away and got it done. I got a bit hung up on sloppy kiss/silentp. I was sure that it had to be sloppy kiss but couldn't work out what word ended in tp until I finally saw it. We need more challenging puzzles like this one on a consistent basis.
That was brutal. There were a number of words, names and expressions that I just didn't know. Some of them I was able to guess but in the end I just wasn't able to complete the puzzle without help. It's been a long time since I needed to do that.
That was a tough one. I had to take a break from it and go back. I got there in the end .
I found this one tough. I thought for a while that I wouldn't be able to complete it but chipped away and somehow succeeded.
I really enjoyed this one. It was tough but achievable.
It was a good challenging crossword that I was able to complete it in a reasonable amount of time. The last word to drop was uranium ore .
@Andrzej The comment about knowing the names of dogs and not their owners hit home for me. When I'm out on my walks and cross paths with people with their dogs that Ive met before I always remember the dog's name but never the owner's . lol
An easy Friday but enjoyable. One of the clues was especially easy for me as I’m actually in Lima Peru on vacation right now.
A very enjoyable and well constructed puzzle.
The easiest Friday I've ever done- it was a Monday or Tuesday level of difficulty.
@Puzzled Brit Another Brit that's never heard of it
Well constructed and pretty tough. I though for a while that I wasn't going to complete it but it all came together in the end.
I enjoyed this puzzle. It was challenging and I didn't fill in much the first time around. Then I managed to to piece it together. The last clue to drop was anneal which is a new word for me.
I enjoyed this one. On the first pass I struggled to gain a foothold anywhere. It was very satisfying when I finally completed it.
I thought it was quite challenging but finished in a reasonable time . It was only when I'd finished and was then looking at neatvodka for a little while that I realized what it was lol.
I enjoyed this one. I had very little at first but managed to complete it in a decent time.
@john ezra Learning about this was the most interesting clue of the whole puzzle.
That was a tough one. I've never heard of a hecklephone, didn't know what an aplologue was. Aside from that there were a lot of ambiguous clues throughout. I got there in the end but it was a real slog.
Far too easy for a Friday. I wonder what the process is for selecting puzzles for Friday and Saturday. Who would look at this one and decide that it's a Friday puzzle instead of the Tuesday or Wednesday level puzzle that it clearly is.
An enjoyable puzzle. It took me a little while but I got it done. I have never heard of nocap or evoo but I had the intersecting clues .
I found this one very difficult but I managed to somehow complete it, I did half last night and finished it this morning. . There were so many things that I was unfamiliar with , a lot of guessing involved.
An enjoyable enough puzzle but it was a Tuesday level of difficulty.
I got this very quickly but did have to go through all the letters of the alphabet to get the first letter of the farm workers motto.
It was a bit tricky in plaves much not to bad. The last clue to drop was ebay. I 'm familiar with squirrels splooting- I've see them doing this recently where I live during extra hot days- usually belly down on logs in the woods.
@Shrike agreed. I got it done but it didn't feel very satisfying .
It was a weird one but I got there in the end in a reasonable time. I liked the line at the equator clue. I've never heard of Samanthawho It was the last clue I filled in and was quite surprised to hear the music when I did.
@ds same here for sloop- I was thinking about the sloop john b when I entered it.
That was a tough one for me but I somehow got there in the end.
@Chris G Yes they're much easier than before. I also occasionally do puzzles from the archives and there's a huge difference. I've been doing the crossword for 20 years.
Pretty straight forward . I got a little waylaid briefly in the SW corner. Baa/Maa, Sebite/Semite .
The easiest Saturday I've ever done.
Unusual puzzle but enjoyable . Yoyos cant sleep in space ?
@Beth in Greenbelt I completed around half of it before going to bed- my internet went down at the same time so it was a sign. The next morning I made much quicker progress and managed to complete it.
Very easy for a Saturday more like Wednesday or Thursday level.
@Nancy J. I recently learned it from the spelling bee .
@Teresa I'm British so am familiar with both. Bog is quite commonly used- and bog rolls for toilet paper. However I wasn't sure at first if the amswer was going to be another British word or an American word like can.
@Gareth I'm fine with however anyone chooses to complete it but what I don't get is when someone looks up clues then at the same time says it was easy and they completed it in a short time.
@/PRS agreed- sometimes you have to spell out the number in the square other times you don't. It's just a pain and time consuming when you know the puzzle is all correct and then have to go back and change all the entries.
@Katie It makes me sad to read comments like this - such a lack of care and compassion for your cat that has a medical condition. I really wish the best for your cat .
I completed it somehow. There there was a lot that I'd never heard of and was just guessing .
@cameron Of the above 5 names I was only familiar with 2 of them- Jesse Owens and Ito Midori- but completed the puzzle based on other intersecting clues. I'm pretty sure that would be the case for most people.
@Noemi I do the wordle every day and agree with you- I didn't know that it was considered a bogey. Then again I don't participate on worle forums so perhaps amongst other worlders its commonly used?
@Gareth I'm the same- any look ups is a fail for me
I found this one really easy and completed it much more quickly than a usual Friday. It felt more like a Tuesday or Wednesday level of difficulty.
@ktel I can't edit, I meant to say SE corner.
