I really wish NYT would stop publishing puzzles that don’t work in all formats. It’s an insult to solvers. (Underlining did not show in the app).

I am so sick and tired of NYT using puzzle designs that don’t work on its digital platform. Come on, you can do better.

It’s rare I solve a whole theme puzzle without figuring out the theme, but it happened this time. The lack of a revealer was probably the main reason. Fortunately I figured it out on my own when it was all done.

The double meanings work everywhere except southeast. Puzzle only solved when I left that blank. Inconsistent themes don’t do it for me.
