At first, I answered 90D [Academy endorsements, casually] as NODS, which made 98A DON’T GET DAD, GET EVEN.
For a long time, I had HRC for 8D.
For 44A, I wanted to answer “SMOL bean”, but that didn't seem likely.
I was disappointed to find out that the SeaWolves didn't permanently change their name to the Moon Mammoths, and are only doing it for four games.
For a while, I had ANATOLE for 26A.
They should have clued 30A as [“Parks and Recreation” costar of 30D], and vice versa.
@Jamie Each wheel spins so that the three letters read in the opposite direction. So down-pointing wheels turn to the right, and across-pointing wheels turn to the left.
The game “Centipede: Recharged” is made by Atari, Inc., a company that bought the assets of the old video game company. It's sold through Nintendo's online store because (like most video game consoles) a game can't run on the Switch if Nintendo doesn't approve it (and collect a fee).
“Game of Thrones” is the title of the TV show. “A Game of Thrones” is the title of the first novel in the series.
