I think they switched Friday and Saturday this week.
Had nothing filled for the first five minutes before I seeded answers with a ton of esses; filled northwest corner quickly, and the rest came naturally in the next 10 minutes. Well designed and actually felt like a Friday/Saturday grid.
A little clunky online, better suited for a pen solve. I spent more time than I should figuring out how to get the rebuses to register.
So far I've spent more time completing Monday's puzzle than any other this week; I'm confused.
Another Wednesday puzzle masquerading as a Tuesday; nice theme however. Slight nitpick:1D covers the entire body, not just the face.
Felt more like an intermediate Wednesday crossword than a typical Tuesday offering.
Yep the Tuesday and Wednesday crosswords switched places this week. Smooth solve except the lower left corner; was on track for ~5 minutes.
This was easier than Thursday's puzzle.
A little clunky to solve online, better suited for old school pen to paper.
@Dan It may be considered gauche by some, but I wonder about the "many corners." To provide an analogy, I've been playing video games for almost my entire life. You've probably heard of a dedicated community of gamers who spend a lot of time speed running games by any means necessary (whether by skill, manipulation of the game in ways the developers didn't intend, or some combination). The original Super Mario Brothers on NES can be completed in under five minutes, and there's not much time left to save (we're talking frames, or 1/60 of a second at this point). I doubt that stops people from playing it anyway, and I don't think anyone who's aware of the world record time holder is calling them gauche for demonstrating to the world of their ability. As others have said, you can always ignore it. I know there are people in the world who will always solve faster than I ever can; good for them, I say.
I had an much easier time solving this than Tuesday..
Someone switched Friday and Saturday again.
Got the long entry down below relatively early, but clunky rebus marred the overall experience (even though it was clever). Another to be solved preferably on paper.
@Joan I finished yesterday's and today's fills more quickly than Thursday; the randomly scattered rebuses got me and I lost focus.
