Fun: this puzzle. Even better: sitting outside doing today’s puzzle Better still: sitting outside in a lounge chair doing today’s puzzle
I was waiting to see this headline, which didn’t appear, so I’m sharing it: Hell Freezes Over, Oct. 21, 2004, Daily News Sports. (A calamity for my beloved Yankees.)
Thanks, I needed that.
Is there a write up of the cryptic crossword?
Is there a write up of Sunday’s cryptic?
@Vaer Thank you. That’s so sad. The cryptic is a great puzzle, but it sometimes needs explaining. So, if there is anyone out there who can tell me why the answer to 9A ( phony checks with edges removed) is IMITATION, I’d appreciate it. I understand that phony is the definition, but the word construction eludes me.
