So sorry, but 'tis dreadful. Vague, very strained wordplay, over-reliance on cutesie modern slang, etc. etc. Have been doing these NYT gems for over 40 yrs and cannot say I've ever been as frustrated, mystified, and just plain idiot-feeling. Whoa!! Will, puh-LEEZE!!!!!!! (insert eyeroll and melting emojis here) (oh, the exploding-head one, too)
@Pax Ahimsa Gethen Agreed. "Evilest" ranks right up there with "funnest" in my ears . . . seems like lousy grammar. And "draggy" -- ?!?! :(
