@Jeff B MD What I love about doing a crossword is how a different word or phrase will spark a buried memory… Like the time in high school, for who knows what reason, I rented an ape suit and had my friend drive me all around my small town while I stuck my head out the window and waved at people. Then I went into a local grocery store and asked if they had a “BIC Banana”, which was a popular bright yellow writing pen in the early 70s. I remember the checkout Clerk took one look at me, grabbed the in-store intercom and over the loudspeaker asked, “Hey, Joe, could you come up front and check the monkey out?”
