good longer clues, but WHAP is not a word, and crossing it with a poorly clued ART (guile?) was just cruel. If you want to cross art with an obscure word maybe clue it in a way that makes sense

This puzzle was dreadful, sorry. Why is this a “modern” reimagining? Do modern people say “giddy up?”. There’s not even an attempt at poetry. A real miss here.

Not a fan of this, if I am being honest. I am happy with a difficult puzzle, but this had a several archaic words (Stets, Scads), crosswordese (sys, ltr, fla, lsd, stl), and obscure proper nouns (who remembers Stanley Tucci's character's name in a 15+ year old film?). is pepsi ok was a highlight though

I appreciate the theme but there were some rough patches that felt a bit forced. The GUNLAP/ADIN cross was obscure and brutal, and "sexer" is a bit odd.

Good puzzle, but the Karel/Nemea crossing was brutal. Karol/Nomea? Just two very unfamiliar words made that a bit tricked up.

I appreciate the theme and some of the longer clues but this was a rough one. ESPIAL, NOISOME, EHOW (this is not a popular website, contrary to the clue), the awkward plural of PASTAS, SAMUS, ARAM. It was just unpleasant, sorry.

No notes, this is a great puzzle, really pleasant fill. Thank you.

Crossing a long dead diplomat with a rare protein is just cruel. Rusk/prions?

Good puzzle but SHOATS/OWOE took some random letter guessing

Good, long answers, no obscure proper nouns. And this puzzle deserves gold for the "Miss Piggy's pronoun" clue.

I did not care of this theme. Some of the words, like E-ROAD, were spelled out, others were partial (E-MIT, with one T, NIT instead of knit). This just felt kind of sloppy and inconsistent.

Really good puzzle! Great long answers, fun with little crosswordese (I’ll never love TEC but I’ve leaned to live with it). Bravo.

This is the best puzzle they’ve published in a while! Great, intuitive long answers. More of this!

eniac/hei crossing was BRUTAL. Never heard of ague... it is listed as "archaic" in the dictionary

IDS, IMS, SSNS, ILE, AER, AWS, IPAS, DEL, TTOP IDs crossing ims should be illegal. Seriously I know all these automatically due to playing a lot, but it’s a good way to keep new players from your games.

That cirro, asta, tralala corner was a brute. I’d never heard of captain underpants and i don’t know what the thin man is, so that’s a bit of a hurdle.

Good puzzle, but the Adelie/cotan cross was brutal. I was just inputting random vowels there.

The Stonefly/Jessye crossing was an absolute Natick. Brutal. Otherwise easy

@Vaer Oh I am fully aware of what they were going for. My point is that it is a terrible answer, because no one ever, in history, has said "A-tests"

When I look up "atests", I get something called "Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking", or "do you mean 'attests'?". That clue makes "tec" look like common usage.
