This one really clicked with me. I finished it in record time, 42 minutes faster than my typical Saturday solve. Came to the comments section to see why it wasn't a Monday puzzle. I guess these clues that stumped most people were just obvious to me today for some reason? PARENTESE was the only weird thing, in my opinion. But impressive, to stack so many long words on top of each other!

@Matt I think the point of the Ice Palace is that you don't want it to melt (running water, get it?).

Even though I finished this puzzle too easily, I'm still curious about "Lit for fun, eg" as a clue for slang. Aside from lit being an abbreviation for literature...I don't get it?
@Puzzlemucker I prefer that age-old, "It might be Demonic with a D, but Mnemonic starts with MNE."
@Mike In Paris and many other tourist-magnet cities, couples have begun to leave a monogrammed padlock attached to the fence by a bridge as an indicator of permanence. It's been a trend that has caused consternation to many, similar to graffiti (in a way). Check out pictures online to see the phenomenon. The locks pile up until they are removed.
@Chris Au naturel is a term meaning nude. "We went sunbathing au naturel".
I thought this puzzle was great! A quick solve. I got the theme about halfway through, thought it was pretty obvious, can't understand all the complaints in the comments. Many of the clues left me grinning, which is what more puzzles should be like...not just an emotionless fill. This was full of humor. Great job, first-timer! I recommend working with an experienced crafter to edit the clues for your existing puzzles, and I bet a lot more of them will be accepted. I look forward to enjoying them!
