I confidently filled in “rototiller” for 1a on the first pass, and less confidently “theXfactor” for 3a. Took a bit of work to finish that corner after that start…
I always like when you can discern something about the author from clues/themes in the answers. This one had: Aga Khan Raita Assam Mahabharata Ginger Was pretty sure we had an Indian author!
@John Stanczak I had the same issue. I filled in apostles on the first pass, but then realized it didn’t work with the downs (and it was plural when the clue was singular), so figured it had to be disciple. Would have been better to be clued differently.
@Gary I skipped over that on the first pass, too. I think of Amherst, Boston, Lowell and Dartmouth. Had no idea they have a med school in Worcester.
