Some years ago in my neighborhood, there was an ice cream truck that drove around each summer playing a loop of calliope music from Mozart's Requiem. Macabre as that was, he still sold lots of ice cream. Fun puzzle, though. :)
The grid art may "delineate a spacecraft whose nose cone is a little triangle of black squares", but for the life of me every time I look at it I see the face of a goat. Good puzzle, though. :)
Thanks, Deb. I've often looked forward to your humor just as much as the puzzles. Even more than the puzzles, with a few particularly vexing ones. :) Have fun!
Awwww, Deb! Thank you for all the joy and wit you've been bringing us all this time. I hope you're going to drop by and bring us more smiles every once in a while!
Fun puzzle! Thank you! One little question, though, about the Gameplay notes: The description for 20A gives a reference link for "the story of the 'fruit streets'", but the link just goes to the first page of an archived Times issue from 1993 - and a quick glance around didn't reveal the story. This particular link says there are 707 pages archived. :) Can someone narrow the reference a bit?
