@Tamal I think it’s half the fun figuring out that you need a rebus! In this puzzle I began suspecting with U-turn.

I found this puzzle to be deeply satisfying to solve. I love the slow discovery that rebusses are involved and how everything starts then to make sense. At first this puzzle looked to be one of those impossible to solve without assistance but about half way through the Across clues we were given some easy ones that gave just enough to start chipping away at it.
