This was one of the hardest Tuesday puzzles ever, at least for me. More like a Thursday level of difficulty.

Hardest Wednesday puzzle in a long, long time. Sometimes, due to a combination of odd cluing, too many puns, oddly worded answers (xraycamera????) and ones that I just don't know/can't get, I find a puzzle annoying and difficult. At least for me, this one was both. More like a Friday level of difficulty.

@ImThatGuy My first thought exactly. I guess Will hasn't seen an extra-inning game in a few years? He clearly missed this one.

@Calhouri I did as well -- it was the last section I completed. Though, for these in NJ/PA, Wawa was easy (and is often in the NYT puzzle).

@John I agree. The hardest Thursday puzzle in my memory. A combination of an odd trick and obscure clues/fills.
