Fun trivia: UTC doesn't stand for anything. In English, it'd be CUT: coordinated universal time. In French, it'd be TUC: temps universel coordonné. The "compromise" between English and French speakers on the groups that formed it was no one wins and we use an acronym that isn't short for anything.
This puzzle was aMAzing. Yes, some of the trivia clues were rough; it took me longer than my Thursday average, but I enjoyed every minute of it. Brilliant construction and a lot of fun.
Great puzzle! Would've been cute if the app turned each rebus square into a penny upon solving, but obviously I'm nitpicking here.
Love Spaceship Earth. Proudly wear my "If you can read this... Thank the Phoenicians!" hat, which almost no one gets.
Wow. I might technically be COSPLAYing right now, in my pajamas that look like a Starfleet uniform, but I did not get that until the very end, on crosses, and still failed to parse it. (My brain: "What's cōs play?") The problem is, I've been going to fan conventions for decades, and have seen cosplay at all of them, so "modern" had me thinking video games. Whether any of this is ironic is left as an exercise to the reader.
Don't take Elon out on Nikola! Nikola was awesome!
Couldn't remember ARAMAIC until I thought of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Whatever works, right? 😅
@ER There are more things in video games, ER, than are accounted for in your philosophy. (Technically, anyone solving on the app is "playing a video game".)
Great puzzle! Too bad whoever drew the circles in the app put Saturn and Uranus in the same orbit and nothing on the orbit inside it. 🤦
@Argh I used a slash, which I normally do when it's an either-or style rebus. "HI/AK" for example.
@Ryan You're welcome, I guess? :P
