@Andrzej The thing is when I grew up here, I graduated from Bend high school in 1966, it was a small working class lumber mill town of 10,000 people in the middle of nowhere Oregon. It doesn't fit that description anymore. Bend changed quite dramatically and there is some shock effect from that for people who have lived here awhile. Thanks for asking, and I'm glad you like Bend.
It's a good thing I do the mini a lot more than the big one, because I am truly amazed that so many thought this puzzle was easy. How did everyone know what a Stoat is?
I was shocked to discover that Mr. Schlossberg is actually from Bend! I'm glad I decided to look at the puzzle today because I don't very often.
@Andrzej Yes, well, my mother thought Bend had too much traffic in 1966, lol. If she could see it now I am sure she would be shocked.
@Steve C. I really enjoyed very, very much reading all these comments. And I absolutely will for sure check out Wind in the Willows.
