@Petrol I had problems with this puzzle. But I got rags quickly. That is a negative connotation of the Enquirer and other "mags."
Thought this was inane. Clues that were off unless tuned right in by experience.
@Zed agree. I thought several words were forced or just poor clues. Or misguided clues. What is a stoat? Diet for fare? Hmmmm. Just stage? Huh?band coyer? Is that a word?
@Steve L meaningless to me.
Loopy? For cursive? Such a stretch. I would never guess that one in a million years. Ala? Styled after? Still don't get it. Epees... ugh. Yes, this was a Wednesday for me.
@DeniseLKnever heard of gelid.
@Walterpop references are right up there with foreign language words. I find the latter very unfair. I’m good at pop references, but that can be a foreign language to others.
@Lucia how do you find that elegant. It was up obtuse at best. Elegant is the last word I would suggest for this puzzle.
@JohnWMthis was way harder for a Monday. Many clues were vicious or just out there. Don’t like foreign languages in a puzzle.
